Ordinary people have the power to expose the truth, especially when working together for a common good. Taking truth into their own hands, screenshots document events and capture lies as they are told in an undeniable way. Here is an example from recent news…
Things get heated in the kitchen when the two owners of Amy’s Baking are exposed in a sugar donut swindle, screenshots capture their rage as they lash out against customers who caught them in lies.
Amy and Samy Bouzaglo, of Amy’s Baking Company Boutique & Bistro in Scottsdale, Arizona, got busted online for lying to customers by selling good labeled “home baked” that were bought elsewhere. Amy’s Baking also posted pictures of bakery items on their own website that were cut/pasted from other sites. Things got so heated between the Bouzaglos and their customers, that the owners actually started to swear and threaten the customers. ALL captured by screenshots.
It all started when Amy and Samy Bouzaglo appeared on “Kitchen Nightmares” with Chef Gordon Ramsay, who got so fed up with these bogus bakers that he stormed out of Amy’s Baking and refused to frost anymore cupcakes. The Bouzaglos tried to sweeten the nightmarish episode by going on the internet and making elaborate claims and comments about Amy’s Baking before the show aired. The Bouzaglos even created fake online profiles to praise their bakery and fight anyone who disagreed.
When the episode appeared on TV, the customers were buying the lies fed to them. So the customers returned to the internet pages of Amy’s Baking–demanding answers, “But by Monday afternoon, after Reddit, Yelp, and Facebook users criticized them and accused them of reselling other company’s baked goods—some posted links proving that almost all of the pictures of Amy’s “homemade” items had been lifted from other people’s blogs and things got ugly.” (Yahoo! Shine, 5/14/13).
The screenshots tell the rest of the story…the Bouzaglos get so mad they call their customers “stupid” and “punks” and cuss out the customers, then threaten legal action. The Bouzaglos call on “god” as if they are on a holy mission and state “we will show all of you”.
All this arguing has made us lose our appetite for Amy’s Baking…
We are posting this story to show the power of the truth when someone is brave enough to tell it, to fight for it…and to take a stand against bullies and abusers.
